About UBCL.
A Chattogram shipping company founded in 2012, now running ten divisions across three countries.
UBCL was founded in Chattogram in 2012 and now runs three offices, in Bangladesh, India, and the UAE.
The company began with regional cargo movements in the Bay of Bengal and along the Indian coast. As clients asked us to take on more of the journey, we added chartering, port agency, stevedoring, and inland transport so the cargo could keep moving under one arrangement.
Today we handle clinker, coal, iron ore, grains, and fertiliser, mostly on routes linking Asia, the Gulf, and the Indian Subcontinent. Our offices in Dhaka, Gandhidham, and Dubai sit in the ports and regions where that trade actually happens.
The people who run this company came out of shipping rather than out of an office. That is what you notice when a berth is delayed, a stow needs reworking, or a charter party clause needs an answer on a Friday afternoon.
